Wilbur Has Many Nemesi

Fleas are called flees because they make you want to flee!
Wilbur is a simple country mouse and he likes to live in peace with everyone. However, some creatures didn't get the telegram.

Mice are strong for their size, but they still are rather small compared to many creatures. So, they have to rely upon their smarts, sense of smell, stealthy hiding skills, or their mouse ability to skip wildly while running to escape an attacker.

Wilbur's attackers can be various types of nemesi, including other vermin, bullies, and other "meanies."

Wait, first what are these nemesi things?
  • In simple terms, a nemesi is a word for a bunch of bad guys trying to harm a good guy.
  • A nemesis is an opponent or enemy set up on getting retribution from another. This evil agent can be a long-term rival, archenemy, or other pursuer or tormenter.
  • When there is more than one nemesis, then the plural of nemesis is either nemeses or nemesi.
Some creatures are even smaller than a mouse, yet still will attack a mouse. This includes fleas. Fleas are quite strong as well for their small size. They have a single-mindedness. They want to bite anything around which they can snack on.

Wilbur really, really, really dislikes flea bites. They itch real bad. Just the thought of a flea bite makes him start to itch. Then he begins to wonder if it was his imagination or maybe there really are fleas around.

Whenever Wilbur has the suspicion something odd is going on. He switches his brain over to sleuth mode. He even has a part-time amateur lost cheese sleuth job on the side and helps others find their lost cheese. Of course, he gets paid in cheese for this other job as well.
